So here I sit on a Saturday night working with my wife at our bar reflecting on my
first week taking part in the True Body Fitness Challenge…a little disappointed in
some aspects of my participation but also a bit accomplished in other areas. During
the past six weeks entering into the challenge I had made a concerted effort to
improve my eating and drinking habits. I went from drinking 15 glasses of coke a day
( on average ) to only drinking water. I also went from eating exorbitant amounts of
sugar, starch and other unhealthy carbs to eating a diet of proteins, fruits and
vegetables, these parts of the challenge were easy for me to accomplish in the
beginning stages. The areas I fell short…classes, regular excersize and meeting
with our trainer Allison. My lack of participation was definitely not a result of
not wanting to do but not having the time to do, that’s why my wife and I agreed
to enter this challenge…to find that time to do.
The second week will be much different for me…the Tigers are on the road and
Detroit looks like it might take a little break for the week…and so will I. Spin
class along with Zumba and Mat Pilates have already been signed up for and I promise
everyone that there will be no gunplay this week so I will be on time for my
training appointments.
To wrap this up…good luck to the other challengers Team Velocity Cow and Team Pure
Detroit my wife is incredibly focused and determined and thank you again to everyone
at True Body Fitness for helping us to find the time and give us all the tools to
improve our lives…wonderful idea Kimo.
I’m out.
