The first week of the True Body Fitness Challenge came on top of a wacky week that reinforced something I kind of already knew. I’m lighting the candle at both ends and if don’t stop, me or someone else is going to get burned. I’m embarrassed by the simplicity of that metaphor but I’m going to go with it. This week I didn’t do as much physical activity as I will in this upcoming one.
My team partner, Vince, is also the love of my life. He has always been averse to working out in a gym setting but drop this guy in a small town in Italy and he’ll walk and climb every inch of a new place. That’s what he loves. He’s curious about what is around every corner and what is up every staircase. So I’m very appreciative of his willingness to do this challenge with me. And he’s all in.
Regina Ward is our personal trainer. She has a wonderful way about her. I’m happy to be working with her. My super good friend and TBF Challenge veteran Liz Blondy is our challenge mentor. I feel like I wasn’t a good mentee this week. She is very encouraging but I wasn’t into being encouraged. Why? I”m not sure.
The TBF nutrilist is the easiest part. I love love so many of the foods. I’m not much of an overeater, I’m a go long periods of time without eating and eating out kind of girl.
My goal for week two is to do four hours of activity. Be a better mentee. And just have a lovely week. Oh, I want to check out getting a new bike at the Wheelhouse. Why did I decide to do that during River Days? Yikes.
