Regina Ward Zumba, Zumba Toning

The art of dance and movement is a precious gift; no matter how old or how young; No matter your background, dance is a universal language that we all can understand: it can touch the hearts of the masses. I am here to share that gift with you!!

Before teaching I had never taken a Zumba class and didn’t know what it was.  Finding Zumba Fitness not only helped me to conquer some issues I have with my body, it also helps me to be more creative, more expressive. Zumba literally makes me happy!  It brought me back to life and incorporated my passion with a career. With Zumba, I don’t feel like I’m teaching because we are all laughing, smiling and having a good time. People always say that my energy is amazing, but I can honestly say that the energy of everyone in the room is what inspires me to teach an amazing class!
I am licensed to teach all Zumba Formats (Zumba, Zumba Toning, Aqua Zumba, Zumba Gold and Zumbatomic). I am a Certified Personal Trainer with American Council on Exercise (ACE) and a Certified Group Exercise Instructor with the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA).  I have been working with my own health and fitness lifestyle for over 10 years and working with others and their goals for over 3 years.
Zumba is literally a calorie-burning, body-toning fitness party and I am so glad to be able to bring it to True Body Fitness.

Stephanie Selvaggio Vinyasa Yoga, Slow Flow Yoga

I was first introduced to yoga about seven years ago when I took my first Bikram class, but it was when I moved to San Clemente, CA in 2008 that yoga actively became part of my lifestyle.  It was enlightening to experience the mental & physical benefits yoga began to offer me, and I had never felt better in my life.  When I moved back to Detroit in early 2010 the teachers and community at the Yoga Shelter inspired me to further my practice.  I experienced my own transformation after becoming a dedicated yoga student and going through Life & Teacher training there.

It is a tremendous perk to have an establishment like True Body Fitness so accessible to us Detroiters.  I am so grateful for the opportunity to teach and grow in this environment . In learning that that our happiness is a derivative of serving others, I strive to create a safe and inviting place for newcomers as well as seasoned yogis to dig in deep, learn about ourselves and find our edge with Yoga. Hope to see you soon!

Kasi Seguin Mat Pilates, Afro-Brazilian Fusion

Pilates has been part of my life for over eight years.  I initially gained an interest in Pilates and Yoga through my experience with dance while living in Mexico City, and that interest grew when I later moved to San Francisco.  In 2009, under my Pilates instructor Cynthia Lange and along with some dance instructor co-workers, I enrolled in the teaching training program at Power Pilates and am now certified to teach mat classes.

A Detroit resident for the past two years, I am currently finishing my Bachelor of Science in Dance at Wayne State University.  I believe that Pilates is an excellent conditioning and injury prevention program for everyone, not only dancers, and that proper alignment and focus are the keys to success.
